Justin Fields Revealed What His Personal Motto Is

-

Being a professional athlete is hard. It comes with a mountain of hard work and sacrifices, not to mention immense pressure. That is especially true for quarterbacks. Justin Fields knew the moment the Chicago Bears drafted him 11th overall in 2021 that the expectations of millions fell on his shoulders. If that weren’t enough, there was also the inevitable tidal wave of criticisms from every media outlet in existence. How can such a young man possibly handle such things?

Often in such cases, it comes from strong self-confidence and motivation. People will often find great athletes elevate themselves through quotes they’ve heard from various sources growing up. Those quotes eventually become their personal mottos. Fields is no different. He has one too. It was revealed during an interview with Jeff Joniak for Bears YouTube. He learned early on that the quickest way to lose control is by listening to what outsiders say.

The “noise” is loud around Justin Fields this off-season.

Every national expert has said with complete conviction that the Bears quarterback will crash and burn. His projected stats by ESPN are 18 touchdown passes and 15 interceptions. They feel he’ll show the same tendencies that haunted him as a rookie because the offense around him is the worst in the NFL. Fields has heard the comments. They mean little to him. He’s made that clear every time asked. His concerns aren’t their opinions. It is believing in his teammates and what they are capable of.

Justin Fields thinks this offense is better than people think. They have some decent talent at multiple positions and a far better coaching staff led by Luke Getsy. If everybody pulls together and works toward the same goal, they’ll get positive results. Then the noise will go silent, and the Bears will be left to rule the quiet because those people won’t have anything to say. Chicago fans are dying for that day to come.
