Justin Fields Latest Move Raises Questions About His Future In Chicago

-

We’re in an era where social media plays a huge role in shaping the news cycle. Whether you agree with it or not, athletes have significant influence today, capable of conveying powerful messages even without issuing statements or posts. A prime example of this occurred Monday night when it was discovered that Justin Fields had unfollowed the Chicago Bears on Instagram.

What does this truly mean?

Justin Fields unfollowing his current team on Instagram isn’t an unprecedented move in the world of sports. Many athletes have done the same thing in the past for various reasons, such as contract disputes, conflicts with management, or a desire to be traded. In Justin’s case, it’s unlikely that he has any malicious intentions or is actively seeking a trade. It’s possible that he’s simply reading the signs and anticipating a change, perhaps based on discussions with Ryan Poles, the Bears general manager. Alternatively, it could be a strategic move to generate a smoke screen of sorts. However, to dismiss this as unimportant or not news worthy would be inaccurate. With the NFL combine approaching, it’s likely that the Bears will make a decision regarding their quarterback situation soon after. At least one can hope.

LOL, for the record Fields had every reason to think he was better than Dalton because his talent far exceeds the other guy. But why should he listen to the little ginger dude anyway?

Because if that leprechaun can take the Bengals to a Wildcard- he might actually have a few tricks up his sleeve!

Maybe Fields could learn something! haha

OMG! A Chicago sports player isn’t following their team on every last social media site in existence!

I have to ask – are YOU on every social media site? More to the point – who cares?

Hey, just so you all know, he was never following the Bears on IG, he is still following them on X (twitter). Kind of a nothing burger at this point.

The stars of Chicago sports have no care about the fans anymore. The fans that supported Justin Fields and Zach LaVine find out they never cared about the city and the opportunity they were given. Spoiled athletes who are not that good! Who can not perform on game days to actually WIN games. These players think they are so great and expect huge paydays but at the end of the game wins are all that matter. Like Mike Vick just said you can blame the coaches but great players can overcome obstacles and still perform at a high level. I… Read more »

@Unluckyirashman… while I agree there’s def a decent chance they keep Fields, I’m not sure of any specific “signs” that they are doing so. There has been some not so subtle talks with other teams about Fields. And MUCH less talk about the #1 pick being traded. So many folks talking about smoke screens… when u have the #1 pick, you are the 1 team in the league that has zero use for smoke screens. Especially when everyone knows the team at #2 wants CW. I think there’s zero smoke screen here. Is there nonsense media propaganda, yes. But Poles… Read more »
