Former Champ Urges Bears To Get Rid Of DJ Moore

-

DJ Moore got himself into some hot water this past week. During the Chicago Bears’ loss to the Arizona Cardinals, there was a play where it appeared the wide receiver simply walked to the bench while a play was still in progress. To many watching, it looked like Moore outright quit on the play. Given the questions about player’s effort in that game and their relationship with the coaching staff, it wasn’t a good look. One person who seemed to take serious offense to it was Chris Long.

The former defensive end and two-time Super Bowl champion watched the clip for his Green Light podcast. If Moore isn’t happy with what is going on, the Bears’ decision is an easy one.

“If D.J. Moore doesn’t want to be there and he doesn’t like the quarterback, who’s going first? I felt like maybe D.J. Moore was pro-Fields, reading between the lines last year,” Long said. “Then here’s the f—king door, dude. They’re having trouble getting him the ball anyway.“

“The one thing that’s inexcusable is if one of the veterans you brought here, D.J. Moore, doesn’t want to be there, then you as a head coach, as a GM, need to make a decision,” Long added.

The DJ Moore situation was likely blown out of proportion.

Head coach Matt Eberflus revealed the wide receiver rolled his ankle on the play. He also stepped out of bounds. When that happens, players aren’t allowed to touch the football or it’s a penalty. The best thing to do in that situation is to get out of the way. You can also see him limping towards the end of the clip. DJ Moore has never been the type of player to outright quit on his team. He’s too professional for that. Teammates didn’t vote him a captain by accident. It doesn’t seem like anybody in the locker room was put off by what happened. This is more of a media creation, which always happens without context. Moore will remain a core part of their offense moving forward. It is about staying healthy and finding that chemistry with Williams.

Maybe the hyenas and this site really deserve this gibberish, if you really think about it correctly.

@Dr. Steven Sallie I think much of what you say is gibberish, but regarding how our collective minds have been bent to think, yes, I agree. Fortunately for me, I’ve been heavily criticized most of my life (mostly for being too serious and too detailed), when people don’t have the mental bandwidth, the call it “bloviating,” which is the modern version of wearing the dunce cap as you meander through life. I am happy to be PROVEN wrong. But Luke Getsy was appropriately fired quickly by the Raiders, Fields is doing ok (although not with the best coaching, but at… Read more »

DI Moore is showing us precisely who he is — on the football field.

When.people tell you who they are — believe them.

This is the new normal, especially for Hyenas and Trumpsters. And it is acceptable even if you get caught. Murdoch’s FOX helped bring it in mass.

@Irish That is why with a massive rebuild you do not start the process with WRs. Probably not with QBs too, until the OL is mostly FINISHED, not a so-called 10-strong that are so weak and cannot even play as a simple unit. This is mostly on Preparation H Poles and his legion of male Hyenas under him. He really should be removed too. Poles is no better than Fields at their relative positions plus/minus their uneven luck.
