Heading into Week 1 against the Titans, Bears superstar WR Keenan Allen was listed as questionable due to a heel injury. He played in the game but appeared to re-aggravate the injury during a broken play. The sequence happened on a fumbled snap by Caleb Williams, which disrupted a quick screen to DJ Moore, forcing Williams to scramble to the right and break the pocket. Williams then overthrew Allen in the back of the end zone, leaving Allen limping afterward. He played only two more snaps for the remainder of the game. No update was provided until DJ Moore shared one on 670 The Score Monday morning.
DJ Moore thinks Keenan Allen’s health is “fine” and nothing to worry about. Allen has been dealing with a heel injury.
“Yeah, he’s just an old man … He’s good,”
We may need to wait for confirmation from Matt Eberflus, but based on DJ’s response, it doesn’t seem to be a major issue. That’s great news for the Bears offense, as they still have a lot of chemistry to develop before their Week 2 matchup against the Houston Texans.

@bluridge can ANY Dave buy this bridge of yours? Or specifically just the Dave that wrote the article? Asking for a friend, who also happens to be named Dave.
Between Rome and Allen it looks like Tyler Scott will likely be active next Sunday Night vs Texans as insurance. It’s crazy that the Bears only went into Game 1 with 3 WRs on the active roster. I really didn’t like the game plan by Waldron in game 1. There weren’t many quick hitters to get Caleb in a rhythm early and he didn’t utilize his TEs like… Read more »
Hey Dave if u believe he was actually giving a player injury update then I got a bridge I’d like to sell ya.
Rome is getting a MRI done on his knee. Not sure what happened nor didn’t know he was injured.
If you have the time, then get the C position fixed too. That is just in front of Caleb.
