DJ Moore Makes His Prediction On Justin Fields’ Future

-

The Chicago Bears ended the 2023 season exactly the way it started. They were embarrassed by the Green Bay Packers 17-9 at Lambeau Field. The Bears have now lost ten straight games to their rivals from the north, and the game was not as close as the score would indicate. Green Bay left several points unclaimed. They missed a field goal early, made a big mistake letting the clock run out in the first half, and a Jordan Love fumble negated a third scoring opportunity. The Bears never trailed by more than one score, but it felt like they were in a lopsided ordeal.

DJ Moore Still Wants Fields as His Quarterback in 2024

DJ Moore has been very vocal in supporting Justin Fields and echoed those sentiments after the game and again Monday morning. Moore was talking to a reporter and said,

“It just comes down to us being explosive. we got the players to do it. we got our quarterback to do it.. we just need to call the plays to put in the position to be explosive…”

Moore followed up those remarks this morning when he joined the “Mully and Haugh Show” on 670 The Score just a few minutes ago. He vocalized what so many fans are thinking when he said, ” It’s a few games we wanted back that could have turned the season around.”

“We could have been a 10+ wind team!”

When the conversation turned to the hottest topic in Chicago, Moore added this about his QB: “I don’t think this was his last rodeo here.”

Lastly, when asked about whether he would tell Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus he wants Fields back in 2024 during today’s interview, Moore was very forthright:

“I think they know that by now. I think the whole nation knows that.”

We will probably have to wait until at least March to determine Justin Fields’ fate with Chicago. We will learn the fates of the Bears’ coaching staff over the next few days.

It’s funny how people watching games on TV truly believe they know what the Bears need better than the players actually in the locker room. I mean, sure, players will generally have each others’ backs, but that does not mean they will go above and beyond throwing endorsements around. These guys want to further their own career, and at the end of the day, that means being successful on the field and winning. They also want to win, way more than most fans do anyway. Like in the case of DJ Moore, he already got paid, and is a couple… Read more »

I still like JF1. But after this season, and seeing how guys like Love and Stroud are able to keep a passing game going with kids, late rounders, and guys off the waiver wire, I’m not going to rip on Poles if he wants to move on. I still think at *least* half the issues are on Getsy and Chris Morgan, but Poles might not agree with that. I hope, if we do take another QB, we don’t take Williams. I’m honestly afraid that the Chicago media will eat him alive the first time he cries. Do you remember the… Read more »

Play calling is very important. The Bears need someone who utilizes the talent they have and makes adjustments depending on the defensive schemes called by their opponents.

The Bears were outcoached in Green Bay Sunday. The Packers play calls included several passes with quick crisp routes that left the wide receivers wide open and the Bears never shut the door on that.

@Bear24 I agree with you that the playoffs should be a thing in 2024, and beyond just making the playoffs in 2024. I was just making sure I understood your comment. I think if they would have made it this year, which was certainly possible considering the number of blown wins, it would have been a bonus and ahead of schedule. I would also add that I’m not sure how totally lacking in rising talent this team was when Poles took over. I know he shipped some of that out himself (for valid reasons), but yesterday’s Green Bay game showed… Read more »
