Once again, the Chicago Bears left fans disappointed with a 20-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. This marks the third instance this season where the Bears lost a game despite being ahead by 10 or more points in the fourth quarter, leading the NFL and potentially setting a record for the most such losses in a single NFL season.
Justin Fields had a mixed performance, throwing for 166 yards and 1 touchdown. Although he had two interceptions on Hail Mary attempts, one wasn’t even caught and the other you could say should’ve ended in a touchdown for the Bears. Fields added 30 rushing yards on 7 attempts. Despite this effort, it did little to silence the doubters.
After the game, Marquee Bears asked DJ Moore about the quarterback discussion heading into the next season. Moore provided a very direct answer that might surprise some.
The Bears locker room believes in Justin Fields
Regardless of personal opinions, the Bears locker room continues to have confidence in Justin Fields. DJ Moore’s response to a question like this was not on accident; he could have opted for typical clichés given his experience with the media. However, he believes in what he said. He doesn’t believe USC QB Caleb Williams or North Carolina QB Drake Maye are better than Justin Fields.

If Ryan Poles decides to part ways with Justin, possibly through a trade in the upcoming offseason, it will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the team morale/locker room. Whether this factor alone is enough to deter the decision to draft a quarterback remains to be seen, but it is certainly a factor worth considering.

I’m not understanding this conversation at all. C.Will has made it clear he doesn’t want no part of chicago and his daddy has been clear he ain’t feeling chicago either. A new qb won’t matter as long as flush and getsy remain. Make 1st pick available for trade
DJ Moore said it most simply and best when asked about Justin Fields vs. drafting an “elite generational franchise quarterback.”
Could they be better? “No. They aren’t better.”
Trade outta number one, Get our Draft haul for the future. Then similar to the Bengals (Burrow and Chase) we draft Nabers and Jayden Daniels outta LSU. We get the Heisman Winner and the 1b receiver in the draft. Trade Fields and get our 2nd round pick back. We get our draft haul for the future, reset the QB clock and keep our Cap flex.
The inconsistencies with field is due to a bad playcaller and holes on the offense. Getsy does not call play action, bootlegs, roll outs. You needed to move the pocket. Our ol was atrocious yesterday. Jones was getting beat every other play by Garrett. We need a left tackle. We need a center. Not sure how many times he got blown up by harris of cleveland. Even Davis was bad on some plays. Once Jenkins got injured , the ol got worse. DJ. was playing injured. Mooney has become bad and unreliable. Tonyan dropping that was terrible. Calling a jetsweep… Read more »
I wouldn’t read too much into DJ’s comments about an event that is 4 months away. It was a dumb question to ask right after losing a very winnable game. it’s probably an inappropriate question to ask a teammate during the season, honestly. I could see his answer being the same regardless of his opinions on JF strictly because he doesn’t make GM decisions.
