DJ Moore Calls Out Madden For Laughable Rating

-

The NFL season is just around the corner which means another Madden is coming out. Madden 24 is set to release on August 15th but player ratings are being revealed this week. Each day will showcase a new position along with every new rating for those respective players. Here is how the schedule shakes out:

July 17th will be wide receivers.

July 18th is edge rushers.

July 19th is running backs.

Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.

July 20th is cornerbacks.

July 21st is quarterbacks.

The Bears Wide Receivers Won’t Be Happy

The people over at Electronic Arts wanted to start the week off with a bang and man did they deliver. They released the ratings for every wide receiver in the NFL. Here are some of the notable Bears Madden 24 ratings:

DJ Moore: 86

Darnell Mooney: 81

Chase Claypool: 76

Dante Pettis: 73

Tyler Scott: 71

Velus Jones Jr: 69 (Nice)

Although most Bears receivers won’t be happy with their rating, only one has called out EA so far. It was newcomer DJ Moore. He was not letting the disrespect fly.

How can you blame Moore for calling out EA for such a considerablely low rating given his production over the last few seasons. Some are calling it the “Bears Tax” which means the league won’t value him as much since he’s Chicago. In all honestly, I kind of believe this to an extent but it will now be up to Moore to go out and prove them wrong. EA actually responded to DJ in a tweet stating that they believe he will be boosted to higher overall at some point next season.

If Fields and Moore can continue to build on the momentum they have already established, I don’t see why Moore’s rating wouldn’t rise as the NFL season progresses. The quarterback ratings are set to be revealed this Friday and my guess for Justin Fields overall is 76. He was a 74 in Madden 23. Just like Moore, I believe his number will rise too.

I wouldn’t expect him to be in the 80s long either…. considering Fields production the last 2 years.

Just calling out the obvious.
