The Chicago Bears Should Be Embarrassed

-

Once again, the Bears managed to disappoint. They blew a 28-7 lead, not only ruining what could have been a defining moment in Justin Fields career but also extending their painful losing streak. I have to express my frustration and call for some accountability regarding Bears head coach Matt Eberflus. His decision to take the ball away from Justin Fields on a crucial fourth-and-1 play in the fourth quarter ultimately sealed their fate. It was clear to everyone in Chicago and Denver that he would hand it off to Herbert. While some blame may also fall on OC Luke Getsy, Flus’s defense allowed Russell Wilson to score 24 unanswered points. Wilson was allowed to cook, and it was embarrassing. Ryan Poles needs to make a decision soon. I understand that the Bears have a short week ahead, but does it really matter? If they couldn’t beat Denver, it’s highly unlikely they can even be competitive against the underrated Commanders team. This feels like rock bottom, or at least I hope it does.

It’s time to clean house.

I’m sure Poles and Eberflus are very embarrassed on pay day. Sure.

Flus will get fired Friday. The secondary coach will take over.

Not so much for going for it on 4th down but for letting Luke Getsy have any input on calling the play to run.
