Colin Cowherd’s Latest Bears Take Exposed He Does Zero Homework

-

The Chicago Bears did what they had to do on Thursday night. They fought, clawed, and battled their way to a 16-13 victory against the Carolina Panthers. It wasn’t pretty. The offense was disjointed and out of rhythm most of the night. The defense played well but dropped three interceptions. It was an ugly win that didn’t answer many questions about where this team is going. However, it did answer one. The Bears’ prospects for the 2024 draft improved. By beating Carolina, they ensured the Panthers’ 1st round pick (which they own) is still positioned to secure the #1 spot in the draft. Apparently, somebody forgot to tell Colin Cowherd.

The longtime radio host is notorious for his hot takes over the years. Some of them carry weight from time to time. However, there are several instances where it feels like Cowherd’s information is far from complete. Never was that clearer than during his latest show. He declared that because the Bears had beaten Carolina, it took them out of the sweepstakes for landing top 2024 quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Drake Maye. There is no way Chicago’s pick will be high enough.

He clearly didn’t know the Bears also held Carolina’s pick. Not a great look.

It’s hard to have any respect for Colin Cowherd.

Firing off hot takes is nothing new. People covering sports have done it for years. There is nothing wrong with having an opinion. However, it’s essential to at least have accurate data supporting that opinion. You host a popular program on a national platform. To get outright exposed like this is downright unacceptable. Even casual fans knew the situation regarding the Bears and the Panthers’ 1st round pick next year. It was common knowledge. Adam Schefter even tweeted about it before the game. All of it flew right over the guy’s head.

Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.

It seems this is karmic justice for all the other horrible takes Colin Cowherd has produced over the years. Getting some egg on his smug face might humble him a bit. Not that the Bears care. Their goals were achieved. They won a game to reach the same total from last season while maintaining a grip on that coveted top draft slot next year. It was a productive night. Cowherd taking heat for having no clue what he’s talking about was merely a bonus.

Collin is an entertaining figure who is noted for his over-the-top takes that seldom rely on factual information. He is one of the best instigators in sports and he relishes in securing everyone’s anger fueled comments, because that is exactly what keeps his rantings and ravings in the spotlight and earns him his paycheck and keeps him in the spotlight!

The best is during his segment when he’s saying the Bears just lost the #1 overall pick the graphic his team is displaying shows the Bears with the #1 pick via Carolina. 🙄

“There is nothing wrong with having an opinion. However, it’s essential to at least have ACCURATE DATA supporting that opinion.”

The irony of a writer who routinely posts INACCURATE information in his articles chastising a talking head that uses inaccurate data to support his hot takes. Even when readers CORRECT the misinformation in the comments, it still reappears in new articles over and over again.

Colin is certainly a problem. But take a little of your own advice, buddy.

I personally always thought Cowherd was a blow hard anyway. This just proves it.

I love watching Cowherd get all his haters stirred up into a tizzy. The guy is awesome. 🙂

Similar to all the people that whine about these articles. They keep coming back daily to complain some more instead of just ignoring what they don’t like.
