Chicago Bears Scouting Combine Meetings Tracker

-

The Chicago Bears will be busy for the next several days at the scouting combine as the best prospects in the 2025 draft roll through. GM Ryan Poles and head coach Ben Johnson will be able to meet privately with several of them. That process has already begun with several names emerging as either having met them already or are scheduled to do so. This should help fans keep track.

The Chicago Bears are already busy.

Ashton Jeanty (RB, Boise State)

Widely viewed as the best running back in the class. Draws comparisons to LaDainian Tomlinson with power, speed, versatility and contact balance.

Omarion Hampton (RB, North Carolina)

Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.

Big, physical runner who is difficult to bring down. Not overly explosive but will wear defenses down.

Xavier Restrepo (WR, Miami)

Classic slot receiver. Undersized but intelligent route-runner who always finds gaps in coverage.

Carl Smith (WR, Robert Morris)

Undersized receiver who wins with intelligence and route-running skills rather than standout physical traits.

Tyler Warren (TE, Penn State)

Big, athletic playmaking tight end who is a matchup problem no matter where he lines up.

Gunnar Helm (TE, Texas)

Tall, savvy pass-catching tight end with little to no track record as a blocker.

Terrance Ferguson (TE, Oregon)

He’s a highly productive starter for the Ducks, but serious questions about his competitiveness to do anything other than catch.

Will Campbell (OL, LSU)

Athletic and battle-tested left tackle with physical mentality who has questions about his shorter arms.

Josh Simmons (OT, Ohio State)

The more pure left tackle in the class with size, quickness, and power. Suffered a season-ending knee injury in 2024.

Jonah Savaiinaea (OL, Arizona)

Gigantic tackle who has the body of a guard. Tough and determined blocker. Not the best athlete.

Grey Zabel (OL, North Dakota State)

Tenacious and highly versatile blocker who can play any of the five positions. Needs more polish to his game.

Jonah Monheim (C, USC)

Polished and intelligent blocker with great size but serious concerns about his lack of length and power.

Hollin Pierce (OL, Rutgers)

Enormous tackle with the desired elite length and power. Slow-footed and doesn’t have the best anchor.

Ozzy Trapilo (OT, Boston College)

Gigantic tackle with surprisingly good pass protection skills but is lacking as a run blocker.

Mason Graham (DT, Michigan)

Frenetic interior pass rusher who overcomes good-not-great physical tools with uncanny instincts and a non-stop motor.

Jamree Caldwell (DT, Oregon)

Big, strong space eater who commands double teams and is difficult to run against.

Alfred Collins (DT, Texas)

Outstanding physical specimen with a huge ceiling as an interior pass rusher but still needs refinement.

Mykel Williams (EDGE, Georgia)

Freak athlete with flashes of dominance as a pass rusher but has questions about his overall power.

Jalen McLeod (EDGE, Auburn)

Undersized pass rusher who punched far above his weight class and was consistently productive. Average athlete.

Carson Schwessinger (LB, UCLA)

Average athlete with incredible instincts. Always knows where the football is going and finds a way to be there.

Kain Medrano (LB, UCLA)

Tough, experienced, and a great leader. Helps to hide his poor tackling and average speed.

Dorian Strong (CB, Virginia Tech)

Big and long corner who thrives in press coverage but needs more discipline in coverage and as a run defender.

Andrew Mukuba (S, Texas)

Instinctive ballhawk who had five interceptions last season for the Longhorns. Fits exactly what the Chicago Bears would prefer.

Kevin Winston (S, Penn State)

Great size and terrific athlete for the position but doesn’t seem to have the instincts for it yet.

Sebastian Castro (S, Iowa)

Physical player with excellent downhill aggression. Doesn’t have great range or instincts for the position.

DT Graham wins hands down and I do support taking a DE in the 1st Round, but RB Jeanty should score a number of needed TDs with a decent OL this season. With a tougher schedule, the Bears are going to need to score a lot more TDs. Who can best do that other than Jeanty in the backfield, unless you want RBs ball control game with bigger backs?

I just don’t get it. If Shemar Stewart is such an athletic stud, why doesn’t it show up in the film or the game? I’m not spending #10 on a guy who produced 1.5 sacks last year and 14 solo tackles.
Picks like this remind me of the Raiders in Al Davis’ final years. He always picked the fastest guy on the field regardless of tape or production. Don’t fall into that trap!

It’ been reported that this D coaching staff prefers stud pass blockers who they can teach to run block. Like it.

Only one RB, one tackle, and no guards. They are keeping their cards close to the vest.

Only 1 OT on this list and no guards. Looks like they’re going after Offensive Linemen in FA or trade.

Tyler Warren has some Ditka to his game. If we draft this guy he should ask to wear 89 and then catch everything and run some folks over.
