Chicago Bears Make Another Flurry Of Changes To Coaching Staff

-

Ben Johnson was one of the first head coaches hired during this cycle. However, it appears he is taking more time than anybody else to assemble his staff. Others who found jobs after him have already completed theirs. The Chicago Bears head coach is being much more methodical in his approach. He intends to make sure every hire is given the same amount of careful examination. While it may seem tedious, this is often a good way to get the best people you can on your staff. That work continued on Tuesday.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears have made three more moves to bring their staff closer to completion. Anthony Blevins, fresh off of a UFL championship with the Birmingham Stallions, joins the team as their assistant special teams coach. Kevin Koch received a promotion from defensive quality control coach to assistant linebackers coach. Perhaps the most important was Pierre Ngo receiving a promotion to become the team’s new strength and conditioning coach.

The Chicago Bears continue tilting young with several assistant jobs.

Johnson seems intent on building a staff that is high in energy and endurance, which fits with his grinder mentality. He’s wisely added several experienced veterans to provide guidance and leadership. Ngo has been with the Bears for the most part since 2015. He comes from the school of Rusty Jones, one of the top strength coaches in the league going back years. After several years spent learning the job, it feels like this was a great time for his opportunity. It is somewhat surprising the Chicago Bears didn’t look for outside help. Johnson must’ve liked what he heard when speaking with Ngo about the job. These moves might not be as high-profile as others, but they each carry weight. Hopefully, Johnson knows what he’s doing.

organization If at all possible, collect the best real FB players available, but try to stay away from those who might reflect membership in the Dark Triad and extreme on the Autistic Spectrum, even if functioning. Such will save your team from extreme difficulties both on and off the field. No crazies or cruelties too.

My HC Ben’s mind works as a controlled yet dynamic matrix. This includes assessing existential and experimental factors covering past success, present necessities, and future benefits to make the Bears a consistently winning team asap.

Hope so because during the Fox years this is what brought Fox down. He hadnt forgot how to coach. Its like a foundation on the house . Thats what hurt mist. Trainers along with strength and conditioning coaches during the Fox regime were not certified & not qualified to do their jobs . This led to many injuries, & long recovery times followed by re-injury. Poor supplements, training regimens, coupled with misdiagnosis along with improper recovery methods brought down the Fox regime. When Nagy took over, Drs, trainers, strength & conditioning coaches along with nutritionists were all let go and… Read more »

With the last few years as proof of what a fitness and health guru shouldn’t be. The facts will speak for themselves. I have never seen so many, injured unable to perform players in all the years I have been a Bears fan. There are too many players that get hired or drafted hurt and don’t even play. Kiran, Bates, etc. Whose job is it to evaluate these players before they are deemed fit. Surely not a fitness coach.
