Bears Injury News Got Even Brighter With an Update from Miami

-

The Chicago Bears injury news for this Sunday was already looking good. Anthony Miller was back from his shoulder problem. Prince Amukamara had been cleared to return from his hamstring. Only Eric Kush and Marcus Cooper appeared on the injury report on Friday. Kush practiced in full. Cooper was already declared out as their only loss.

That’s rare for this time of year, especially for the Bears who’ve been plagued with health issues for years. However, the positive news isn’t just limited to Chicago. The Miami Dolphins have been providing some big updates the past couple days, none of them favorable from their perspective.

Star defensive end Cameron Wake is doubtful to play Sunday due to a knee injury. The same goes for cornerback Bobby McCain. Left tackle Laremy Tunsil is dealing with a concussion. Suffice to say the Dolphins are banged up as it is. That’s when the news out of South Beach got even worse.

Ryan Tannehill shoulder adds even more shine to Chicago Bears injury news

Make no mistake. This Tannehill update is about as bad as it can get for Miami. Even though he’s been struggling of late, the quarterback is still far and away their best option. If he can’t go on Sunday, then they’ll be forced to turn to backup Brock Osweiler. This would be a significant downgrade and music to the ears of Khalil Mack.

Why? The last two games he’s played against Osweiler, he’s sacked him six times.

So one can understand why the Dolphins might be a bit nervous trotting him out against the best pass rush in the NFL. Smart money says that Tannehill will probably give it a go, knowing how dangerous a situation his team is facing after two-straight losses. However, this indicates that he almost certainly won’t be playing at 100%. Injured throwing shoulders are never to be taken lightly for quarterbacks.

The Bears already have enough to believe they can win this game? If Osweiler gets the nods, it will be about as close to a guarantee as one can get in the NFL.
