Chicago Bears Fans Broke Out An Unexpected Chant During Blowout Win

-

Chicago Bears fans have had it pretty good in recent weeks, as their team has now won three in a row. The most recent two have been blowouts over the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars. The most exciting part of it all is the ascent of Caleb Williams at quarterback. After throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns against Carolina, he somehow topped himself with four touchdowns against Jacksonville. One would think fans in attendance would shout chants of predictable things.

“Let’s Go Bears!”

“Caleb! Caleb! Caleb!”

Yet again, the international audience was reminded that this fanbase is different. With the game in hand, they decided to remind the world of one thing and one thing only: they still hate the Green Bay Packers. A sea of navy blue and orange was audibly heard in the 4th quarter shouting, “Green Bay sucks!” While the rivalry hasn’t been competitive for a long time, the animosity hasn’t faded. If anything, it is stronger than ever.

Chicago Bears fans finally feel they have a chance.

For the longest time, Green Bay has owned the rivalry because of one primary factor: the quarterback. When you have Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers for 30 years, it is easy to consistently beat other teams. When that other team can’t find any good quarterbacks, it’s made even more lopsided. Now, the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction. The Packers still have a good quarterback in Jordan Love. However, he appears to face much tougher competition. Williams is evolving into the best QB the Bears have drafted in the Super Bowl era. Over the past three games, he has seven touchdown passes and one interception.

This is not something Chicago Bears fans have seen much of in recent decades, let alone from a rookie. Can he finally become the white knight to save them from the green and yellow hordes? Based on those chants in London, they sure believe so. The two teams don’t meet until November 17th. If the current trend of success for both sides in the next few weeks, that game could be supercharged with hype.

I did say they would be 4-2 before the season and during the season, even when they were 1-2. The big test is the week after the bye, but at least we get 2 weeks to prepare for it. And if there is a defense that should be prepared, it is this one. Just about the entire defense had to practice against Fields last year at minimum, which should prepare them for the QB run game Washington throws out there. See, Fields did give something beneficial to the Bears!

5 Offense TDs two weeks in a row? With a rookie QB? That hasn’t been done in my lifetime. 1956 was the last time. And not with a rookie QB. 70+ points in two weeks? Who is this team. Great game from Jenkins again after getting dinged 2 weeks in a row. Saved the swift fumble. He’s becoming an iron man. Guessing he gets extended in the next month. Who only had 91 yards rushing this week? Yes Swift, and another 28 receving. KMET! KMET! That guy does it all. Before the season if anyone said the Bears would be… Read more »

I heard fans were chanting, “M P V!” as they were confused, and it was a term they were unfamiliar with over the last 4 decades.
