Chad Johnson Delivers Biggest WTF Bears Prediction You’ll Ever Hear

-

Everybody has an opinion on what the Chicago Bears will do at quarterback this off-season. It boils down to one of two things for most. Based on information from several top insiders, the likeliest is that they will trade Justin Fields to the highest bidder and select their preferred quarterback at #1 overall. Caleb Williams is the current favorite in that scenario. The other is the Bears auctioning the pick to a team desperate to land Williams in exchange for a massive return of draft capital and keep Fields. However, former Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson went in a completely different direction.

He and Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe host a football show called Nightcap. The two got into a heated discussion about what the Bears will do at #1. In Sharpe’s mind, there is no way he’s moving off that spot unless somebody offers him something ridiculous. Johnson is convinced they’re going to swerve everybody. How? By trading both Fields and the #1 overall pick. Incredulous, Sharpe asked what the hell the Bears would do at quarterback in such a scenario.

Johnson’s reply sent the entire argument straight into Crazytown.

The argument Chad Johnson makes boils down to one thing.

He believes the Bears will do everything in their power to stack draft picks. Trading both Fields and the #1 pick would net them a return of something unprecedented; this is true. However, it would also drastically reduce their chances of finding a difference-maker at quarterback. Desmond Ridder threw 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions with an 84.1 passer rating for the Atlanta Falcons. Taylor Heinicke has 39 touchdowns and 28 interceptions in his career. Neither player has anything remotely close to what you would consider franchise quarterback ability.

Draft picks are nice, but they also aren’t guaranteed. This is the best opportunity the Bears will likely have at landing a great quarterback for the foreseeable future. Even more so than last year. Sacrificing that for a bunch of lottery tickets and two nobodies at the position feels like a bad gamble. Chad Johnson has always been known for having some outlandish takes, but this one tops them all. It can’t even be considered a hot take. It is just plain stupid.

One can only hope Shannon can somehow steer him away from more of those in the future.

Looks like little TWiTtY’s back with his usual limited vocabulary of insults, crying when someone has the audacity to have a viewpoint counter to his cretinous take. He occasionally comes up out of his mom’s basement to try out some new words he’s learned after being called them by his dad. You have our pity little Tommy.

When Lambert actually posts something interesting and worthwhile I’ll return. For now, this is the SOS different day and colossal waste of time reading and posting. Articles like this are proof of that.

Add in the remarkably braindead posts by Tom Waddle Told Ya and others who have nothing but garbage to say and it’s incredibly annoying.

Everybody has an opinion on what the Bears should do but nobody knows for sure what Ryan Poles will do. Based on his past choices I feel confident the Bears will improve and be more competitive next year. I would be really surprised if he traded Fields.

Ive been saying it. Except in my plan you “trade” for Russel Wilson, but Denver actually gives YOU a draft pick to take his salary off their hands, and you roll with Russ for 2 years while Bagent keeps learning.
