Caleb Williams Sets Sights on Beating CJ Stroud’s Rookie Season and Winning a Super Bowl

-

In 2023, Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud had an unreal rookie season. It’s widely considered one of the best in NFL history for a rookie QB. He completed 319 of 499 passes for 4,108 yards, with 23 touchdowns and five interceptions. His passer rating of 100.8 ranks as the third-highest ever for a rookie quarterback. Stroud made an instant impact. On the “The Pivot Podcast,” host Fred Taylor asked likely number one overall draft pick Caleb Williams if Stroud’s impressive rookie season motivates him to achieve similar success in his first season. Without hesitation, Caleb responded confidently and boldly.

“I want to do better.”

Caleb is committed to putting in the time and willing to work his “ass off” if the Bears select him next week in Detroit. He plans to learn the playbook as quick as possible and wants to have the team playing in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans next February.

“I’m not here to ‘wow’ you, I’m here to win games.. I dream about championships.

Caleb Williams aims to win a Super Bowl in his first year.

Bears fans have every reason to be excited, given Caleb’s confidence. Thanks to last year’s trade with the Carolina Panthers, the Bears secured the number one overall pick, setting Williams up for what could be the best position a rookie quarterback has ever been drafted into.

The Caleb Williams era is on the horizon, and we’ll soon find out if he can meet his own high expectations.

Barry.. the difference is that’s a dream goal for him. For you, it’s superbowl or he’s a bust. U know it’s a ridiculous theory, but you’re an extremist when it comes to CW. When do you expect your BFF Fields to win his first superbowl? Let’s layout that expectation too sir 😁😁.

Shout out to all of the commenters here who said that having Super Bowl expectations in 2024 is unfair and unrealistic. Your guy is, himself, setting exactly that expectation.

I will once again say it: If Caleb is “generational,” then appearing in a Super Bowl this season should be the expectation.
