When we discuss the best rivalries in all of football, the Bears and Packers are certainly at the top. Former Green Bay Packer quarterback Brett Favre has experienced this rivalry first hand. So it came as a shock when he appeared on Complex’s Load Management podcast and stated he’d love to see Aaron Rodgers in a Bears uniform.
Favre made a fair point
Not gonna lie, I’m on the fence with this one. Because on one hand, it’s tough to imagine Rodgers as a Chicago Bear. He’s been the primary cause of so much pain over the past several years. So rooting for him just wouldn’t feel right. However, the Bears would be pretty much unstoppable if they did this. I mean think about it. Rodgers paired with this Bears defense would easily put us in the Super Bowl conversation. Not to mention the fact that the Packers would get smacked twice a year at the hands of their former QB no less. It’d be hilarious. Now I doubt this happens but if 2020 has taught us one thing it’s this: anything can happen. So as of right now, I am 50/50 with bringing Rodgers on board. I’ll make my final decision later if the Bears/Rodgers storyline ever really becomes a reality.
Lastly, shoutout to Harrison for this gem of a tweet. I’m sure many Bears fans share similar views.
