Chicago Bears fans have been going through a tough period lately, and there’s uncertainty about when things will improve. However, there’s some hope on the horizon with the 2024 NFL Draft in April. The most recent draft order provided by Tankathon, shows the Bears are in possession of both the first and fourth overall picks in the first round. The first pick is theirs because of their current strength of schedule, and the fourth pick comes from the trade with the Carolina Panthers earlier in the off-season, where they acquired it along with DJ Moore in exchange for last year’s number one overall pick.
What makes this even more exciting is that according to the latest mock draft by Tankathon, the Chicago Bears are projected to select USC Quarterback Caleb Williams and Ohio State Wide Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
Losing The Next 14 Games Might Be Worth It?
Let’s face it, the Bears might benefit from losing the remaining 14 games to secure the number 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Throw in the pick from Carolina that might top 5 and the Bears might be set up perfectly if this season continues to spiral out of control. Many scouts believe that Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. are very elite level prospects in their respective positions, possibly generational talents. This level of talent is simply what’s needed to turn around this struggling franchise.
While it’s tough to endure the losses right now, there is a silver lining. It just happens to be several months away.
