Draft Day is finally here! We are just hours away from hearing “With the first selection in the 2024 draft, the Chicago Bears select….”

We have been subject to countless mock drafts and over-analyses. It is time to sit back and watch the future of the Bears franchise manifest on our TV screens. While we wait for the last 8 hours to Rick off the clock, take some time to test your knowledge on Bears facts and trivia. This is the third edition.

  1. Second-round draft pick in 2020, CB Jaylon Johnson posted his first career interception in the 4th quarter of the Bears 20-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in week 2 of 2021.
  2. Entering the 2023 season, Brandon Marshall is the only Bears player with two 100-catch seasons. He tallied a club-record 118 receptions in 2012 and 100 in 2013.
  3. With 492 receptions, Bears all-time leading rusher, Walter Payton is also the franchise’s all-time leading receiver.
  4. WR Darnell Mooney posted the 18th 1,000-yard pass-catching season in Bears history.
  5. Prior to the 2022 season, the Bears lead their all-time series with division-rival Detroit Lions 104-75-5.
  6. The Super Bowl team in 1985 scored a club-record 456 points. The mark still stands.

News and Notes

The NFL draft begins at 7:00 PM Central Time and will be televised on ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network.

Important dates:

The Bears will conduct their rookie minicamp May 6-8, the weekend following the draft. They will then hold nine OTA practices May 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, and June 6, 7, and 9.

The club will host the Bears Care Gala on June 4 at Soldier Field. The annual event raises funds to support Chicago-area research efforts focused on finding a cure for breast and ovarian cancer and improving treatment options for those currently battling those diseases.

The offseason program will conclude with a mandatory full-squad minicamp June 14-16.
