Aaron Rodgers Trolls Bears On Pat McAfee Show

-

Aaron Rodgers may be rockin’ a New York Jets jersey these days, but it seems like he just can’t quit his obsession with the Chicago Bears. During his latest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers took yet another shot at the Bears, proving that even in a new conference, he’s still living rent-free in the minds of Chicago fans. But we’re not losing sleep over it.

The setup was simple enough: Sauce Gardner, Rodgers’ teammate with the Jets, has been dealing with some real-life bears hanging out around his New Jersey home.

Instead of offering some sage advice or maybe even a little sympathy, Rodgers took the opportunity to make it about football, taking a swing at his old NFC North rivals. “(Sauce) should call Jordan Love,” Rodgers said with a smirk. “I think he’s the owner of the Bears right now.”

Classic Rodgers, right? Always quick to remind us of his 26-5 record against Chicago like it’s some sort of personal accomplishment. Yeah, Aaron, we get it. You had our number when you were in Green Bay. But let’s be real—taking shots at the Bears from the comfort of the AFC feels a bit like punching down. You’re not even in the same fight anymore, so why are you still throwing jabs?

Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.

And Jordan Love? Sure, he’s 2-0, but let’s not act like he’s ready to inherit the crown. It’s cool that Rodgers wants to pass the torch, but Bears fans know this rivalry runs deeper than a few games. It’s a new era, and we’re more focused on the future than on rehashing the past.

Speaking of the future, let’s talk about Caleb Williams, the Bears’ new QB, and the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The kid’s got all the potential in the world, but he’s also getting a crash course in how tough it can be to wear the navy and orange. With an O-line that’s more porous than a sieve and some head-scratching play-calling from the sidelines, Williams has been taking more hits than a piñata at a birthday party. But he’s still standing, and he’s still fighting.

Yeah, Rodgers, we heard you loud and clear. But here’s the thing—Bears fans are built different. Your little quips and digs? They might have stung once upon a time, but now they just roll off our backs. We’re focused on what’s next, on building something real, something lasting.

So, enjoy your time in New York. Keep dropping your one-liners. Meanwhile, we’re going to keep grinding, keep building, and keep believing. Because the next time the Bears and Packers meet, it’s a whole new ballgame. And when that time comes, don’t be surprised if it’s Chicago that’s doing the talking.

You can shutup too, Clay Matthews.

Beardown.

The only really good thing Aaron Rodgers has going for himself — is that he’s not Brett Favre.

Why can’t motorcycles and crosswalks live together in harmony? Why do we have to single them out?

Clay Matthews got his ass handed to him by the Barden Bellas.

@Dr. Sallie: This article was written by Andrew Ingram, not our old foil Erik. Andrew: Rodgers isn’t living in Bears fans’ heads. I’ve moved on, and so have most of the posters here. Maybe he’s still living in yours, though. And as for Rodgers trolling the Bears from the “comfort of the AFC”, well, he’s gonna see Josh Allen twice a season, regular dates with Mahomes if the Jets win games, as well as Burrow, Hebert, and the newly minted undefeated as a Steeler starting QB, our old pal Fields. Worse yet (for him), Rodgers personally has to go against… Read more »
