Aaron Rodgers Drops Shocking Take on Bears and Rising Star Caleb Williams

-

Aaron Rodgers has been off the Bears’ radar for some time now. He left the Green Bay Packers over a year ago and suffered an Achilles injury on opening day last season, his first game with the New York Jets. Consequently, there hasn’t been much discussion about his long-standing rivalry with the Bears.

However, during an eventful offseason for Chicago, Rodgers shared his thoughts on the new-look Bears and Caleb Williams on the Pardon My Take Podcast this week. He expressed his admiration for Williams’ game.

“Yeah, I do (like Caleb Williams). I like D’Andre Swift. I like Keenan (Allen). I like the receiver from Washington (Rome Odunze). They still got DJ (Moore). I think their almost good enough to beat the Packers.. I think it will be a close game.

Although I think much of this was said in joking manner, I do believe Rodgers is genuinely impressed with both Caleb Williams and the Bears. Rodgers knows Williams has modeled his game after him, and Williams’ talent is undeniable. However, I still appreciate that Rodgers can’t stand Chicago. It just feels right that he maintains his stance and keeps the rivalry alive. Rodgers also makes a fair point that the Bears are improving. Ultimately, all these moves are good in theory and look promising on paper, but the Bears need to prove they can actually beat the team in Wisconsin, something they haven’t done in a long time.
