The Chicago Bears are set to face the 6-5 Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football in Minnesota. Following a heartbreaking loss to the Detroit Lions, the Bears should be eager to recover and potentially pull an upset on the national stage. Here are three bold predictions for Monday’s game.
Justin Fields will account for 4 total touchdowns
Before you laugh or screenshot this, consider that Justin Fields has had two games with four touchdowns each, and these performances occurred in consecutive weeks. Although the Vikings posed a challenge for the Bears and Fields in the first matchup, I think the Bears will bounce back. Despite past instances of the coaching staff failing to make necessary adjustments, I am confident that Fields and the team will have a well-thought-out game plan for Monday night, helping the Bears put up more points this time around. I am thinking two touchdowns on the ground and then 2 more through the air for Fields.
The Bears defense will get 3+ turnovers
The Bears defense showed significant improvement by intercepting Jared Goff three times last week. While Josh Dobbs story is fun, I think it takes a turn for the worse on Monday night. It’s clear that the Bears defense has made strides in creating turnovers. In the game against the Lions, they created 3 turnovers. They even had missed opportunities for additional turnovers, notably by cornerback Jaylon Johnson, who dropped two potential interceptions, one of which could have resulted in a pick-six. Hopefully, the Bears don’t leave anymore on the field this time around.
Bears sneak out of Minnesota with a last minute win
In the preview episode of the BFR Podcast for Monday Night’s game, I initially predicted that the Bears would lose in overtime due to a last-minute field goal, anticipating another heartbreaking defeat. However, I’ve changed my viewpoint and now believe the outcome will favor the Bears. I foresee the game going into overtime, with the Bears successfully stopping the Vikings on their first offensive drive. Justin Fields will then lead the offense down the field, setting up Cario Santos for a game-winning field goal. It’s an optimistic take for the Bears but I feel like the fans are overdue for a positive turn of events.

If Fields plays to the full extent of his ability, AND if the coaching staff actually lets him play to the full extent of his ability, AND they actually have a good plan on offense and defense, the Bears have every opportunity to beat the Josh Dobbs Vikings.
If any of those three things doesn’t happen, it will probably end up another close, but disappointing game. Flores’ defense is the real deal, and Dobbs is dangerous if you let him get hot.
If the Bears attack the middle of the field against the Vikings, Fields will have a big game. Veece- thats the big problem. He doesnt seem to be able to throw to the middle of the field. If he does, that will be among the first times hes ever done that.
Its so fun being an armchair coach. No consequences. 🤣 Sooooo, in my not so humble but unknowledgable fan opinion… The key to this game is Getsy. Minnesota DC Flores outclassed and outcoached him in every way possible during their last meeting. If Getsy does two things I think we have a chance… – Play a lot of 12 personnel and move the damn pocket. I’m not talking bootlegs only but simply changing the launch point. He should also try quick hits and slants. Flores is a blitz happy DC. Take advantage. – Adjust, adjust, adjust. If the offense is… Read more »
yep. big game cole is on the way.
