3 Big Takeaways From Chicago Bears Loss vs Green Bay Packers

-

Despite the Chicago Bears 10th consecutive loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, I’d like to share my three big takeaways from the game. Let’s jump right in.

1. Justin Fields didn’t get any help

No sugarcoating here – Justin Fields faced constant pressure throughout the game, with Teven Jenkins having his worst performance of the season, allowing two sacks.

The entire offensive line struggled against the Packers pass rush. Cole Kmet, not looking healthy, left the game at halftime, leaving DJ Moore as the only reliable option once again. The Bears coaching staff found themselves outclassed, and if this was Matt Eberflus and Luke Getys’s last game, it wouldn’t be a surprising to me at all.

Fields had a rough game, and it’s a recurring theme in his Chicago tenure – not receiving enough support. It’s not to absolve Fields of blame, but no quarterback could have survived the challenging circumstances he faced on Sunday, not even Caleb Williams.

2. Tyrique Stevenson is a superstar

The absence of Jaylon Johnson was evident in the Bears performance yesterday. A check for him is likely awaiting at Halas Hall as I write this. The impact of his absence was clear as Green Bay wide receivers had a field day. On the positive side, Tyrique Stevenson stepped up. He made a crucial pass breakup in the end zone, preventing a touchdown.

Additionally, in the play to end the half, he sprinted at full speed towards the Packers tight end, pushing him backwards and out of bounds — keeping the clock running, saving the Bears another 3 points.

Stevenson’s impressive play capped off a stellar rookie season, hinting at the potential for a future superstar cornerback. His growth from week 1 to week 18 is a testament to his hard work, and the future looks promising for him

3. Jordan Love is a franchise QB

I admit that I underestimated Jordan Love, and it pains me to acknowledge this. However, his time spent learning behind Aaron Rodgers has proven beneficial. Love showcased impressive throws and a methodical approach, breaking the hearts of Bears fans much like his predecessors. While he benefits from a strong offensive line, a great coaching staff, and talented young supporting cast, I can’t ignore his individual skills on display on Sunday. Love has emerged as a force in the division, posing a potential challenge for the foreseeable future. The Bears must make the correct decisions this offseason to avoid being overshadowed in the coming years by the team in Green Bay once again.

TWTY, It’s the coaching. You blame some ONE person later, but the entire team is a mess because of the coaching. And it’s been like a rock rolling downhill. Maybe because you ignored the REAL problem?

Oh, ok, “Dave” has spoken, whoever that is. I bet “Dave” was one of these delusional meatballs talking smack about how the Bears have the best QB in the division and how now the Packers are gonna find out what it’s like to live life without a franchise QB and get owned yearly by the Bears. Pathetic delusional meatball fanbase full of empty bluster and acceptance of mediocrity. Hell, weve got a guy in the comments talking about how “he trusts Poles and values him” -Oh yeah? Based on what, exactly? How he spent two high draft picks on defensive… Read more »

Bullet point #3 is the one so many Bears fan are trying their best not to admit. He showed yesterday what a huge gap there is between he and Fields. Honestly as a whole we saw that their team is flat out more talented. I’m not slamming Poles, because I do like him and value him… butttt let’s not forget that GB is THE youngest team in the NFL, and their talent is still superior. I do understand that the coaching is too. I do trust Poles, but also hope we see some coaching and player changes.
