I will be starting a new series of player previews for the 2024 NFL season, leading up to training camp. The Chicago Bears have a new quarterback and a mix of familiar faces on both offense and defense. Although the expectations aren’t as high as some seasons, they’re still quite optimistic given the team’s talent. In this series, I’ll provide quick previews and my season projections for many key players. First up is the Bears standout wide receiver, DJ Moore.
DJ Moore
2023 Stats: 96 Receptions (13th) | 1,364 yards (6th) | 8 TD (Tied-8th)
DJ Moore is one of the NFL’s most underrated wide receivers. He consistently performs, no matter who his quarterback is. Most known for his yards after catch ability, Moore is entering his prime at just 26 years old. Despite facing another quarterback change, I expect him to maintain his momentum. Will he finish the season as the team’s top receiver? I believe he will. Here are my 2024 projections for Moore.
2024 Projected Stats: 85 Receptions | 1,101 yards | 5 TD
I anticipate a dip in Moore’s production, not due to his regression, but because Caleb Williams has many offensive options at his disposal.
However, I still expect a big season from Moore, and my projections might even underestimate his potential pairing with Williams. The race to 1,000 yards will be won by DJ Moore.

Please share your thoughts on my stat projections and any other comments you might have, and I’ll do my best to reply.
I believe the biggest surprise will be R Odunze or Cole Kmet. Both are going to have the benefit of DJ Moore and K Allen demanding the defenses to utilize their top CB’s and keep a S over the top, Odunze and Kmet will reap the benefits early if Waldron and Williams can utilize the opportunities.
Both Allen and the Bears have a shared interest in getting the most for their money while Allen is in Chicago and preparing for the 2025 season.
