The Cubs and Brewers had to sit through about a two hour rain delay before they could finish their game at Wrigley Field today. Unfortunately for the Cubs, the outcome wasn’t very good. The Brewers defeated the Cubs 6-3 which snapped the Cubs three-game win streak.
All was not bad however.
Before play was set to resume from the rain delay, Cubs catcher Willson Contreras had a quick game of catch with a young Cubs fan who was crazy enough to brave the elements at Wrigley Field. If you sit through a two hour rain delay, 45 degree temperatures, and a game full of errors, at least you can leave the park saying you got to play catch with a future All-Star.
