Bulls center Robin Lopez is clearly a child of the ’90s. He’s admittedly a huge comic book nerd. He also frequently compares himself to the lovable dork Screech from the hit ’90s TV show “Saved By The Bell.”
So it should come as no surprise that when deciding on a birthday gift for his teammate Doug McDermott, Lopez went with another classic ’90s throwback. Earlier today, Doug posted this to his Instagram account:

Given the faded coloration and sequence number in the top right corner, this appears to be an authentic piece of animation from the hit Nickelodeon show “Doug.” You have to wonder where on earth Lopez found such a gem. It also makes me really curious to see what kind of artwork Robin has adorning the walls of his place.
Lopez has his birthday coming up on April 1st. Will McDermott follow suit and get him a framed picture of Dustin Diamond? Let’s hope so.
