Top 3 Draft Targets for the Bears at No. 10

-

The 2025 NFL Draft is the next big step in the Bears offseason, and with it just over a month away, it’s time to focus on potential targets at No. 10 overall. While there are several players I love in this draft, not all of them make sense at No. 10. Some could be better value picks if the Bears trade back to gain additional draft capital. That said, here are 3 players I believe are truly worthy of being selected at No. 10:

1. Mason Graham, DI

Graham is fast, violent, and relentless — exactly the kind of high-floor player the Bears need on defense. At just 21 years old, he can play the 3-tech role and is already regarded as a top-10 prospect on many draft boards. If Graham is available at No. 10, he’d be a fantastic addition to Chicago’s defensive front.

2. Ashton Jeanty, HB

Could Ben Johnson take a running back high in the first round again? Absolutely. Back in 2023, Detroit drafted Jahmyr Gibbs 12th overall, so Jeanty at No. 10 isn’t out of the question. Jeanty isn’t just a running back — he’s a versatile weapon who could make an immediate impact for Caleb Williams and Johnson’s offense. While it’s unlikely he’ll be there at 10, if he is, the Bears would be getting a game-changer.

3. Will Campbell, T

Campbell is an elite prospect with some length limitations, which could push him inside at the NFL level. However, some believe he can transition to left tackle and thrive. Even if he starts outside, Joe Thuney won’t play forever, and having Campbell and Darnell Wright as bookend tackles would solidify the line for years. Campbell’s versatility and high floor make him a strong pick at No. 10.

Honorable Mentions

Tyler Warren, TE – A great pass-catching option with good size and athleticism that would compliment Cole Kmet

Kenneth Grant, DI – Another dominant interior lineman who could bolster the defensive front.

James Pearce Jr., ED – An explosive edge rusher who could help Chicago’s pass rush immediately.

Josh Simmons, T – A talented tackle prospect with the tools to develop into a long-term starter.

If the Bears stay at No. 10, any of these top three players would be great fits. Trading back could also open the door for some of the honorable mentions, but standing pat and landing a blue-chip talent wouldn’t be a bad outcome either.

My. guy Ben said that QB play is more important than turnovers. The league has changed. It’s not your father’s NFL anymore with Defense and Running the ball. Those are important but protecting the QB and attacking the other QB is the formula to win in this league. This offseason has shown me that the Bears finally have a clue on how to build the team. It’s not there yet, but it’s looking smarter run. It cannot be argued that Johnson has not influenced this a great deal. All things being the same in the draft, default to protect or… Read more »

Rooster pretending to befriend Dr. M, while undermining him with multiple down votes and trying to blame me for supposedly being jealous of him as he had written before? If so, then what an evil and devious loser as well as his ilk on SM. Vicious. Sinister. Insidious envy and jealousy…

Two of those honorable mentions also made the worst nightmare picks list on SM recently. Covering the bases I guess.

Brisker’s on concussion watch and Byard aint getting any younger. Emmanwori and Starks shouldn’t be far from 1.10 territory. Wouldn’t rule out Safety. If he’s 1st rd material it doesn’t matter if you take him at 10 or 25 in this draft.

Unless a prize slides to 1.10 there won’t be a haul for trading it. Getting the 4 back wouldn’t hurt.

@Dr. Melhus, excellent post. Have no idea why anyone would downvote that post.

Can’t predict draft at #10 especially this year, I don’t really see a run of 3 or more QB’s in the top 10. But I do see a run on OL possible when Philly showed you can never get too many OL. I can see a run on Edge for the same reasons. I do think the Bears will be in position to draft impact player from other positions if the top 9 choose to go in trenches.

(Long) Let’s do a little thought experiment. Divide a big board into players the Bears might take at 1.10, and players they won’t take at 1.10. I’ll use GBNDR’s big board (Great Blue North Draft Report), and anyone that has been discussed as a possible choice for the Bears will be in the might take pile. In order, from GBNDR Might Take: ——————– Carter (ER – Penn St.) – 99%+ chance gone by 10, but he’s on the list for a reason. Graham (DT – Michigan) Jeanty (RB – Boise St.) Warren (TE – Penn St.) Campbell (OL – LSU)… Read more »
