It’s no secret that the Bears landed their top target in their head coaching search in Ben Johnson. This became even more evident when they quickly released another episode of their popular YouTube series, 1920 Football Drive.
The latest episode offers a behind-the-scenes look at the moments leading up to the hiring of Ben Johnson and the events that followed. The Bears did a fantastic job sharing this exclusive footage with fans.
Here’s Ben Johnson discussing Caleb Williams, with Williams also sharing his thoughts on Johnson.

One of the most intriguing parts of the episode was an interview with Caleb Williams. He not only detailed how he found out about Johnson’s hiring but also shared insights from their very first conversation. While most initial conversations are lighthearted, theirs was the complete opposite. Williams revealed that they got straight to football, immediately discussing what wouldn’t work in the Bears new offense.

“Our first time speaking, we addressed things that won’t work, doesn’t work.”
It’s exciting to see two brilliant football minds, Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams, already fired up and ready to go. It’s rare for a rookie quarterback to show such intense drive and focus, but Williams is clearly all in. Many might keep things surface-level, but both Johnson and Williams were eager to get to work. With the Bears spring offseason program just around the corner, as Johnson mentioned in the latest episode, it will be fun to watch them lead the team into what could be the greatest offensive era in franchise history.
How long till these two are screaming at each other on the sideline? Only the draft will tell.
This is going to be a special duo for many years to come. I’m predicting these 2 see alot of success in the near future. I really believe they are the perfect pairing. It would have been nice to have an offensive coach of his caliber from the start of Caleb’s career, but atleast we got him for his 2nd year and on.
That 13 min clip was better than the whole season of Hard Knocks with the Bears.
On Valentines Day, this song goes out to my HC BEN. It is entitled “Ben” and was sung by Michael Jackson in 1971-72.
There was a movie of the same name too. Listen to the song and lyrics. It is a very moving and deeply loving song.
TWTY’s QB Caleb and my HC Ben had an initial first meeting discussing serious critical elements of football. That’s what problem solvers and game winners do from the start.
