Jaylon Johnson has plenty of reasons to be upset with the Chicago Bears. The team is once again one of the worst in the NFL, having lost eight in a row after starting 4-2. It is their second-longest losing streak in franchise history. Johnson hasn’t seen a winning record with this organization since he was drafted in 2020. He hasn’t been shy about sharing his frustrations with that. It feels like everybody is reaching their breaking point. Tensions are sky-high. That was never clearer than after Sunday’s loss in Minnesota.
During the game, eagle-eyed fans noticed something. Johnson didn’t have a “C” on his jersey. That was odd, considering he was voted a captain this year. It led to speculation that maybe he’d been quietly demoted.
But wait, it gets dumber. Johnson was asked about it after the game. As it turns out, the cornerback wasn’t aware the “C” was missing. When he found out, he yelled to the equipment staff for an explanation.
Little things like this Jaylon Johnson incident sum up the Bears.
Interim coach Thomas Brown reiterated that Johnson had not been stripped of his captaincy. It was likely an equipment malfunction. Only the Bears would do something like that to anger one of their best players. They can’t even seem to get the simple things right. If you’re looking for proof why this team is a complete mess, this incident couldn’t sum it up any better. They are so off the rails that sewing a captain patch onto a jersey is too much of a challenge. To think there are still three games left to play. Fans can’t take any more of this. Jaylon Johnson deserves more respect than that. It may have been an accident, but it shouldn’t happen. Little controversies like this are the last thing the team needs.

Local Kramer is not a little thing! He should not be on the team. He has cost the Bears at least twice at the goal line. Some promoters or community group must want him to represent something or somebody on the Bears. He and Kiran are the best representatives for a Poles built team that is so dysfunctional. Yet, one of Poles’ boys blocked a punt with his helmet shield. So fittingly awkward.
