Jay Glazer Bombshell Makes Tyrique Stevenson Situation 10x Worse

-

Tyrique Stevenson shouldered a ton of the blame for last week’s loss to the Washington Commanders when he spent five crucial seconds of the final play with his back turned, shouting at fans. This allowed his designated guy to cover to slip into the end zone, whom Stevenson them tipped the Hail Mary pass to for the winning score. It was a monumental meltdown any player has showcased in a long time. Stevenson apologized on Twitter and to his teammates in the locker room after the fiasco.

However, the Chicago Bears couldn’t let everything slide. Mistakes like that demand some form of punishment. That is why news came out that head coach Matt Eberflus would demote the second-year corner for the upcoming game against Arizona, slotting in Terell Smith as the starter. Apparently, Stevenson didn’t take the news well. According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the cornerback removed himself from practice when he was told. Not a great look for somebody who is trying to show he doesn’t have maturity issues.

Tyrique Stevenson still has growing up to do.

He likely feels he is being unfairly treated for what happened. It’s as if he’s responsible for the loss and being punished despite apologizing. Well, here’s the thing. He is responsible. He wasn’t focused on the pivotal play of the game. The game he was supposed to cover got loose in the end zone, and then he, Tyrique Stevenson, tipped the ball right to him. Every single arrow points to him being responsible. Now, rather than own up to it and accept the temporary demotion, he decides to throw a tantrum instead. No wonder his teammates were pissed at him. They expect that kind of reaction from a teenager, not a 24-year-old grown man. At this point, it would be surprising if he sees any playing time at all.

This is the funniest thing I have read on this site in a while! Sallie actually said that his friends at the game texted him. Who believes Sallie actually has friends in real life?

Sam – Ever heard of coaching and development? Happy to be a brainwashed and listen to Gena’s nonsense, are you? Once the GM gets the guys… does any responsibility transfer to the coaches?? Think about it. How do players improve after College? Or when they go to a new team. Poles responsibility lays with, trying to get players who fit the scheme the team is running. Gena doesnt want to acknowledge that. More of the 38 yrs of failures after SB 20 are on coaching staffs than the GMs who acquired them.

This is the reality… this is who this team really is. All u King Poles ppl… yea, this is year 3 and what u see today is who this team is. A team that can only beat the bottom 5 of the league. Keep praising his amazing roster work. And Flus is too soft and clueless to be a HC. This is just pathetic.

Bears are trash. Getting their asses handed to them by Arizona. Fire Flus NOW!!!!!!!!

Another Defensive breakdown at the end of the 1st half is unacceptable.

It’s halftime. My friends at the Phoenix game both texted and emailed me. In sum, neither thought the Bears look like a playoff team. The only player looking worthy was Santos. They were not impressed with Caleb or Tory.

Can the Bears come back to snatch victory from defeat?
