Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler recently made headlines after a DUI arrest following a collision where he allegedly rear-ended another car. According to reports from TMZ, Cutler showed signs of impairment at the scene and allegedly offered money to the other driver to settle the incident, which authorities soon deemed serious enough to proceed with his arrest.
The arrest prompted a statement from Cutler’s ex-wife, Kristin Cavallari, who expressed her concern for his well-being. Speaking to People, Cavallari emphasized her hope that he seeks any support needed, especially for their children’s sake. Though no further details were given, her response adds a personal touch to an already significant story in Cutler’s life, showcasing a complex family dynamic that has been public since the couple’s split in 2020.
On her podcast, Let’s Be Honest, Kristin Cavallari briefly addressed her ex-husband Jay Cutler’s recent DUI arrest, expressing hopes he “gets the help that he needs,” but chose not to comment further. She reflected on their divorce, noting that although she left, it wasn’t what she had envisioned: “My heart broke in my marriage…it was heartbreaking when you want something so badly, but you just can’t get there.” Cavallari emphasized her deep struggles in the relationship, feeling heartbroken for years before the eventual split.
The Bears fanbase and Chicago sports community remember Cutler as a notable figure, but this recent incident has added to his controversial legacy. Although details on his legal process remain limited, he is scheduled to appear in court in early 2025, raising questions about whether this could shift Cutler’s public image further.
@Nutbush City Limits, TN. A one-horse town, ya gotta watch, what ya puttin down. Thanks Ike and Tina, a lovely couple.
So much better stuff to talk about.
@David That’s because reality TV is anything but.
It’s kind of crazy how their reality show it came off as they had this prefect marriage and this perfect life. Lol
I do not care about him. He should not have been a Bear to begin with, pure and simple. She of course is taking the high road for obvious reasons. If there is split custody of any children, she could work this incident against him in some legal capacity. Maybe she will or should, IDK, IDC. But any negative things done by ex-Bears players, still taints the Bears to some degree, rightly or wrongly.
