The Chicago Bears arrived in London earlier this week to prepare for their crucial game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As part of their weekly reports, the team has released an injury report for Thursday, revealing a few concerns heading into the weekend. Thursday marked the first full practice of the week following Wednesday’s walkthrough. Key points to note are:
Did Not Practice: Teven Jenkins, who was initially listed as limited, saw a downgrade in status.
Limited: Tyrique Stevenson (calf), a new addition to the injury report.
Upgraded to Full: Kyler Gordon (heel), who was previously limited, practiced fully.
Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.
Full: Jacob Martin (toe) logged two full practices in his first week back.
The Bears defense is already missing safety Jaquan Brisker due to a concussion, and now with cornerback Tyrique Stevenson also limited, the secondary is feeling the effects of the injuries piling up. Kyler Gordon is dealing with a heel injury as well but was a full participant on Thursday. On a positive note, defensive lineman Jacob Martin is returning from IR, which should strengthen the defensive line. Another key player to watch is Teven Jenkins, whose status will be one to monitor in Friday’s final injury report. While the Bears are healthier than many teams, injuries to key players can still have a significant impact.
Thanks for the info, David. Btw, did you read my mind before I even thought it?
So, probably my biggest question in all this is… who the heck is Jacob Martin?
Jacob Martin is an Edge Rusher that’s played for several teams over the year. Has 18 sacks in his career as a journeyman with a career high of 4 sacks with Houston.
He got injured I believe at the end of camp and placed on either IR or PUP.
I have watched every single snap of Bears football for many years now, and I have no idea who Jacob Martin even is.
Poor Teven, he and Davis not likely to stay as Bears.
The Bears can eat well at Harrod’s or Simpson’s on the Strand and experience some culture at the same time. I have plenty of recommendations to order.
