Bears Catch a Massive Break Before Panthers Game

-

The Bears are already favored to win at home against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday. However, Friday’s injury report for the Panthers gives the Bears an even bigger advantage.

Panthers’ Friday Injury Report:

Out: LB Josey Jewell, LB Shaq Thompson, and C Andrew Raym.

The Panthers have used a lot of Cover 3 through the first 4 games, so the Bears might stick with a short passing game led by Caleb Williams. But with both starting linebackers Jewell and Thompson out, the Panthers will be vulnerable. This increases the chances for DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and D’Andre Swift to have big games. Additionally, the Panthers will be without their third-string center, Andrew Raym.

Adding to the concern, six other Panthers players are listed as questionable:

  • Robert Hunt, G
  • Shy Tuttle, DT
  • Dane Jackson, CB
  • Ian Thomas, TE
  • Jalen Coker, WR
  • Charles Harris, LB

While anything can happen on game day, timing is key in the NFL. It’s all about when you play a team sometimes. The Bears offense has been gradually improving, but they are still seeking that breakout performance. Playing at home, where they are 2-0, could be the perfect opportunity for them to shine.

“So, let me get this straight.” QB Caleb would have to be extremely improved in performance against the poor and disabled Panthers to conclude he has progressed another level.

But what if he doesn’t perform well? “You put the lime in the coconut and mix it all together, you put the lime in the coconut then you’ll feel better.” I understand what to do now just in case.
