Unexpected Player Continues to Shine at Bears Training Camp

-

Whether you’re a die-hard Chicago Bears fan or just a casual follower, you might be surprised to hear about Tyler Scott. In his second year, the wide receiver has been making waves by connecting with Caleb Williams on several big chunk plays early in camp. Scott capitalized on the absence of veterans Keenan Allen and DJ Moore, making a 30-plus yard reception during Wednesday’s practice from Williams that nearly resulted in a touchdown, had he not lost his balance along the sideline. Despite this particular play coming from a defensive breakdown, Scott has consistently delivered impressive receptions throughout camp.

Tyler Scott will likely secure a roster spot, but the receiving group remains competitive. Velus Jones Jr. will be a key player to watch, especially with special teams becoming more important due to the new kickoff rule. However, if Scott continues to perform well and build chemistry with his rookie quarterback, he will definitely be a lock for the final 53-man roster. Overall, it’s a promising start to camp for the young wideout.

Makes me rest easier knowing when Keenan leaves next year a WR that already knows the system will be in place to take his spot. Never in my many years of watching the Bears have they had this many quality receivers. As I see it now there is just too many weapons and only one football.

– when people make the effort to misquote you, then you know they cannot handle what you actually wrote in truth. A sure sign of pettiness.

If any of you want to criticize what I write — great.

However, there’s no need to invent, or embellish what I’ve said — or distort the plain meaning of my words.

Sorry but gena already proclaimed Scott was a bust, wasted 4th round pick, so it is impossible for him to be making plays. Must be fake news.

Now, what about Velus: Is his main problem the hands or in his head? Curious minds want to know. Or is he just a KR? Say it will be more.
