Day 2 of training camp kicked off early on Sunday morning. The Bears are just 11 days away from their first preseason game, the Hall of Fame game against the Houston Texans. In a post-practice press conference, new Bears Offensive Coordinator Shane Waldron mentioned that he expects Caleb Williams to play a lot this preseason. Whether Williams will get reps in 11 days against Houston remains uncertain, as it might be risky to field him on such short notice.
Both the offense and defense had a productive practice, and currently, neither side has a clear advantage—but it’s still too early to tell. The best news of the day was the return of Rome Odunze, who missed the first practice due to a personal matter.
Odunze took time away because he attended a funeral, but his presence on Sunday morning was a welcome sight. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, it’s great to see the Bears supporting him during this time.

Yeah, I’m really scratching my head over the “short notice” comment.?
Might as well play CW. He will have as much time in the new offense as everyone else.
If by chance DE Hunter is playing, then keep Caleb on the sidelines. His dislike for the Bears will never go away.
