NFL Star Throws Shade at Caleb Williams

-

The Bears will kick off their season against the Tennessee Titans in 74 days. There’s always excitement around the first week, but this year feels especially different due to the Bears’ extensive roster changes since the 2023 season. But the week one matchup has taken a personal turn, as Titans’ star defensive end Jeffrey Simmons called out Bears’ quarterback Caleb Williams during an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show.

“Painted nails. I can’t wait to say that to him.”

In all honesty, this seems like weak trash talk. Caleb Williams has embraced painting his nails as a form of self-expression and isn’t bothered by what others think. However, it’s interesting that Simmons might be trying to play mind games before the season opener. If I were Caleb, I would, and I think he will, use this as extra motivation to dominate the Titans at home. This is just adding more fuel to his fire.

@Slip Knotz – as long as Williams beats the teams and guys that trash talk him, none of it will matter. If he doesn’t, it will get worse.

That was always the case, and nobody can say they did not know it. It’s all in his hands now, and there is no point worrying about it. He needs to do his job, and the Bears need to have his back.

“Well, we came out on top. Turns out that my guy Jeffery was the real bottom out there on the field today.”

If Caleb plays mistake-free football and the Bears beat the Titans in Week 1, I’m taking out a billboard in Nashville that says: “Caleb Williams is so gay that has two french bulldogs named Louis and Vuitton, and he still clowned on Jeffery Simmons’ woman-beating ass.”

I thought the spark died on the fingernail B.S., can’t start a fire without a spark.
