Caleb Williams 2024 Season Projections

-

Welcome back to my new series of player previews for the 2024 NFL season, leading up to training camp. The Chicago Bears have a new quarterback and a mix of familiar faces on both offense and defense. Although the expectations aren’t as high as some seasons, they’re still quite optimistic given the team’s talent. In this series, I’ll provide quick previews and my season projections for many key players. Today we will focus on Caleb Williams, the rookie quarterback and the face of the franchise.

Caleb Williams

2023 Stats (College): 3,633 passing yards | 30 TD | 5 INT

Caleb has yet to play a snap in the NFL, but he’s already a household name. As the league’s first NIL superstar, he’s entering one of the biggest markets in the NFL. Many compare him to Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, and that’s why I believe he’ll soon claim the top spot in the NFC North. He possesses all the qualities you want in a QB prospect, and it’s up to the Bears to develop him. Although the organization hasn’t excelled in this area before, the strong supporting cast around him in his first year is a promising start.

2024 Projected Stats: 3,708 passing yards | 23 TD | 11 INT

At first glance, this statline might seem disappointing depending on your expectations for Williams’ rookie season. This projection is on the low end, so I hope Williams surpasses it. I also expect him to add another 300-400 rushing yards and 2-4 rushing touchdowns. Overall, this would be a solid start for Williams in Chicago. He would break the Bears rookie quarterback passing record, currently held by Mitchell Trubisky with 2,193 yards in 2017. Again, not a bad way to kick off your career in the Windy City.

Please share your thoughts on my stat projections and any other comments you might have, and I’ll do my best to reply.

Oh, that is Paris, France, not Paris, Texas. That is the difference between day and night.

Do not worry about Caleb, he has been at a Paris fashion show for several days. If he comes to London, I shall let you know.

I have a projection…tgena will still be complaining about Ryan Poles after the Bears start stacking wins this season. It will be the other teams failings, no credit to Poles. The Bears could win the Superbowl, CW could be rookie of the year and still gena will be whining about the best GM the Bears have had in as long as I can remember.

Are these projections based on artificial intelligence algorithms or mere guesses. How about rushing yards and TDs? Pick-6s and fumbles? Number of games played or injuries?

If that stat line offended anyone, they may want to check their expectations. That would literally be one of the best rookie seasons of all time and a top 3 or so season in Bears history. All for a rookie. Been saying it for months. 3500+ yards and 2:1 td:int is a fantastic season.
