Fuck this team. Bunch of losers. Hector Neris blow another game and everyone watching knew it was going to happen except for the manager getting paid $8 million this season. No idea why Craig Counsell continues to stick with Neris and I don’t give a shit who else he gave the ball to because it would have been better than Neris.
Tyson Miller threw 31 pitches on Sunday. Fuck it. Throw him in for the save. Colten Brewer? I had no idea who he was before this season, but he should have been in the ninth instead of Neris. Keegan Thompson? Sure, still a better option than Neris.
After Jorge Soler reached with one out in the ninth thanks to Miguel Amaya’s catcher interference, Neris walked the next batter and then gave up a go-ahead three-run home run that was ultimately the difference Monday night. After getting a 6-3 lead heading into the eighth inning, the bullpen blew it.
Mark Leiter Jr. gave up a solo bomb and then Neris with the cherry on top of the shit sundae.

The Cubs also had a brief 2-1 lead, but Hayden Wesneski gave up a home run too tonight. He’s been atrocious the past couple weeks, surrendering 6 home runs in 9.2 IP.

No one, literally no Cubs fan watching didn’t think Neris wasn’t giving up the lead in the ninth. It’s a joke. Pathetic. Offense finally wakes up for a game and this is the shit that follows. Embarrassment of a franchise.
