Chicago Bears May End Up Moving To 8th Overall In Round One!! Here’s The Latest

-

According to sources, the Atlanta Falcons may lose their first round draft pick in this year’s NFL Draft. The league is looking into tampering allegations stemming from their signing of QB Kirk Cousins.

The website cbssports reported earlier today that Atlanta and possibly Philadelphia could face penalties that could include fines and loss of draft picks. You can read the article here.

The sanctions the league could levy against the Falcons are reportedly going to be more severe in part due to Cousins admitting conversations with Atlanta staff members.

“There’s great people here,” Cousins said. “And it’s not just the football team. I mean, I’m looking at the support staff. Meeting — calling, yesterday, calling our head athletic trainer, talking to our head of P.R. I’m thinking, we got good people here. And that’s exciting to be a part of.”

If Atlanta gets stripped of their first round selection, Chicago moves up one spot to the 8th pick. With the anticipation that no fewer than four QBs will be chosen in the top seven picks, the possibility that one of the top three WRs (Harrison, Nabers, and Odunze) would be available if the Bears move into the 8th spot.

Nice to detect some indirect debate on the philosophy and science of causation, synchronization, and probability with regard to football events in the physical, social, and psychological worlds.

The Mooney thing is how the NFL originally found out about the Cousins tampering. Cousins reached out to Mooney before he should’ve known he was going to Atlanta.

@Dr Melhus – yes, certainly you could consider Lovie winning his final game as luck. But I have to disagree with you. Lovie won that game by design and force of will – he knew the team he took to a Super Bowl, and whose owners had always liked and respected him would benefit. As far as the Panthers trading what would become the first pick being luck – are you saying that luck, rather than than skill, are why Ryan Poles has what is regarded as his most successful move? Because, if we go ahead and say that the… Read more »
