The Bears have waited over 100 years to finally own their stadium. Breaking news overnight indicates that a publicly owned venue will likely be on the Chicago lakefront. In a stunning move, team President Kevin Warren broke the news in a recent statement that indicates a final break from the team’s commitment to build a stadium and entertainment complex at the former site of Arlington Park Race Track. This is a major shift away from the private stadium plans long coveted by Bears ownership.
“(The bears) will contribute over $2 Billion to build a stadium and improve open spaces for all families and fans and the general public in the city of chicago.”

I know everyone likes the Idea of a Dome stadium but considering that close to 70 percent of teams that go to the Superbowl are open stadium teams. Are the Bears going to lose that advantage whenever they become relevant again being a domed team.
