It appears that opinions on Justin Fields vary widely, with perspectives ranging from top NFL executives to your own uncle. His performance in the NFL has sparked intense debate among fans and analysts. Recently, Dov Kleiman posted a graphic on X that compared Justin Fields to Lamar Jackson over their last 20 games. The comparison was striking, prompting Dov to ask whether Justin Fields is underrated.
Out of nowhere, Johnny Manziel, a former Heisman-winning quarterback, shared his own opinion on Justin Fields.
“Without a doubt J Fields is underrated. That boy is a savage on the gridiron.”
Does Johnny Manziel have a point?
Are we looking over Justin Fields true potential? The Bears having the first overall pick has complicated matters, particularly in assessing Justin Fields. Despite his imperfections, he’s a good player capable of starting in the NFL. However, the current scenario is challenging for him because the Bears hold the number 1 pick once more. It’s difficult to fully understand his potential at this point, and it could take another year or two to do so. The Bears might be reluctant to wait and see what he can develop into. Manziel now joins a long list of former and current players who are in Fields corner.
Is a trade for Justin Fields coming soon?

Ok, now we’re really reaching!!
Trading JFields would/will be the arrow that sinks R Poles as GM.
@V5THNOV, I’m not happy with what the Bears have given us the past 3yrs. Which is why I can’t say I’m happy/unhappy with JF. I don’t think I was actually referencing your comment, more just referencing every CW is the man to take us to the promised land comment. I’m a team builder type. I don’t think we can add CW in place of JF to last years team and be any better than what we were. With that said, my opinion is of completing the rebuild with the tools at hand rather than doing a “close enough” type take… Read more »
Fieldies sure make a lot of excuses for their boy. What about all of those downs that Fields was not under any pressure and he simply didn’t throw to an open guy? Why is that someone else’s fault?
After Poles does his due diligence, he may realize the hype was overblown, and Fields ceiling is still higher than any of the QB’s in the draft. The Fields haters all seem to have the same narrow lens in judging him. The offense had no weapons, no talent, and TERRIBLE coaching. Play calling, and game planing sucked, and they were awful with in game adjustments. Inexperience by the entire offensive coaching staff showed up every game. They were always outcoached by opposing defenses. Fields kept more drives alive than anybody else on the team. And once they got a WR1… Read more »
