Montez Sweat’s Latest Social Media Post Will Bring A Smile to DJ Moore’s Face

-

The midseason trade for Montez Sweat looks increasingly better every day for the Chicago Bears. They traded a second-round pick for Sweat, who has made NFL history by leading two franchises in sacks in the same season. His impact on the Bears defense is evident, and he has emerged as a respected leader in the locker room.

Sweat’s leadership also extends to social media, where he responded to legendary hall of fame tight end Shannon Sharpe. Sharpe, who’s been very successful in his post-NFL media career, listed several top wide receivers in a tweet. He concluded by asking the question of how many of these receivers they would take over DJ Moore. Sweat, without hesitation, expressed his clear support for DJ Moore and didn’t let any criticism of Moore go unchecked on the timeline.

Montez Sweat does have an argument

The NFC, and the NFL as a whole, has a deep roster of talented wide receivers. Despite this, one could argue that DJ Moore remains at the forefront when it comes to ranking the league’s best pass catchers.

Imagine if the Bears picked up MHJ and then a solid LT, C and RG so Fields had more than 2 seconds before having to avoid being sacked? Watching the playoffs you see other teams whose quarterbacks could knit an afghan while they wait for receivers to get open–its amazing how the game changes when the pressure is on the opposing secondary to hold coverage more than 3 seconds….

I think if the other 10 players on offense shifted over 4 inches, everything would be perfect.

If he had a competent QB throwing him the ball imagine what his numbers would be!

Men with cajones to confront the talking heads is fun. Go Tez. If the scheme and talent improves, the sky is the limit for DJ. That’s what is important here. Add a guy who makes sure that there is a legitimate threat to take it to the house every snap and see how much easier life is for our QB(whoever it is). The occasional creeper who blitzes will get burned and they won’t do it again. DJ needs help, not because he can’t get open, but because there is limited production when he gets nicked up or tires for a… Read more »
