Justin Fields Made History, Becoming Fourth QB In NFL History To Achieve This

-

It’s no secret that Justin Fields has been performing exceptionally well in his last two games. Following the Chicago Bears win against the Washington Commanders, ESPN highlighted an impressive achievement by Fields. They pointed out that he has joined an exclusive group of quarterbacks since the 1970 merger. Specifically, Fields is the fourth quarterback to accumulate 5,000 passing yards and 1,500 rushing yards in his first 30 starts.

As shown in the graphic above, the other three quarterbacks are Michael Vick, Jalen Hurts, and Lamar Jackson. Pretty good company.

Although it’s just been two games, there are signs that Field’s passing skills might be improving. If the Bears continue to coach him effectively and tailor their game plan to his strengths, there could be more bright moments ahead in the remaining 12 games. The Bears have a mini bye before their upcoming game against the Minnesota Vikings, and things have taken a positive turn. Winning can have that effect.
