Jaquan Brisker Gave A Fiery Players-Only Speech Ahead Of Opener

-

The Chicago Bears aren’t much of a talking point in the national media. Most are focused on the heavy hitters like Kansas City, Philadelphia, Dallas, Buffalo, and Cincinnati. It’s been a long time since the Bears were in that conversation. Their 3-14 record last year didn’t do them any favors. While several experts like what GM Ryan Poles did to improve the roster this off-season, it wasn’t enough to consider this team a playoff contender. Most predict somewhere around 6-7 wins. A step in the right direction but a long way from respectability. Jaquan Brisker isn’t having any of that.

The young safety has quickly emerged as one of the Bears’ most vocal leaders. He earned that right after a strong rookie season that saw him lead the team in sacks and finish second in tackles. Now he’s looking to galvanize a young locker room into no longer thinking small. Forget a winning record or the playoffs. Think big. Rookie wide receiver Tyler Scott spoke to Adam Rank on The Sick Podcast. He explained that the Bears had a players-only meeting recently, and it was Brisker who stole the show with a fiery speech.

Jaquan Brisker is a man on a mission.

He hasn’t shied away from making bold statements this summer. Before his unfortunate injury setback, he felt he was having an “All-Pro” training camp. He also stated Justin Fields is on the cusp of a huge year. More than anything, Brisker was blunt about his desire to beat the Green Bay Packers. He didn’t get a chance to face them at Soldier Field last year. The safety is eager to be there when the Bears finally take down their bitter rivals. That victory should then spark a strong start to the season.

People can call it corny or whatever else. The fact is this is the kind of passionate leadership the Bears need. Jaquan Brisker isn’t afraid to tell everybody what they need to hear. If you want to win a championship, you need to expect to win a championship. Don’t be afraid to think big. Why not us? That was the famous motto of the 2004 Boston Red Sox when they finally broke their World Series curse. People can talk about the roster being incomplete all they want. Less talented teams have made the playoffs before. This one can too.

Brisker is that dude!!! Anything is possible. We see massive swings each year with teams. Last year was Jacksonville. Take it one game at a time, starting with beating the dam Packers. If they can pull that win out confidence will be sky high!!! Let’s fk’n go!!!

I know that words don’t mean anything until it’s proven with results, but I LOVE this mindset. Poles has loaded up the team with hungry young players with talent. I can’t wait for Sunday. This division is definitely winnable. Go BEARS !!!

I agree with Brisker 100%, Why not us? Why can’t we win this division? Why can’t we improve throughout the season and win 11 games? Why can’t we go deep into a playoff run? and Why can’t this team win a Super Bowl? Well it is easy pickings to pick on a team that finished last year at 3-14, heck that is like betting with house money, but…… When you put 53 men in a room and get them to believe that this is the beginning to the end of being the doormat in which every media outlet other than… Read more »
