Liam Hendriks Again Shows Why He Is A Great Human

-

One of the best stories in Major League Baseball this year has been Liam Hendriks beating cancer and returning to the field. Once he returned to the field, he looked good but has unfortunately been injured for about a month. Despite his injury, he has still made an impact off the field.

Liam has been known as a charitable guy off the field, but he continues to impress everyone with how charitable he really is, as his last endeavor is truly amazing.

Teaming Up At Citi Field

Recently, it was reported that Liam Hendriks was teaming up with New York Mets pitcher Carlos Carrasco, who is also a cancer survivor, to host kids that are dealing with cancer at Citi Field on a tour.

This is just an amazing story. Liam is just a great human being. For someone who just went through the hardest battle of their life to be giving back so soon is truly amazing.

Cancer is one of the worst things to deal with at any age, and it is significantly worse when there are children that have to deal with cancer. For Hendriks to team up with Carrasco to do this is truly amazing, and it probably meant the world to those kids. If for some reason you didn’t have the utmost respect for Liam or Carlos before, you should now.

Not The First Time

This continues a trend of Liam just being a great person. Even before he was diagnosed with cancer, he was constantly doing charitable things and donating money.

When he first signed with the White Sox, he immediately made an impact in the city by donating a bunch of meals to various organizations throughout the city. What a way to make an impact before he even stepped on the field for the Sox.

He has also done a lot of work with shelter Pitbulls to make sure they find their way to a nice home and to help reduce the number that has to live the rest of their lives in a shelter. Liam’s charitable work doesn’t have any bounds, as he has a variety of groups that he likes to help.

For a season as bad as this for the White Sox, it is nice to see stories like this to uplift Sox fans’ spirits. Hopefully, Liam can get back on the field soon, as every Sox fan has missed him tremendously.
