Jordan Love Took His First Dig At The Bears. Jaquan Brisker Fired Back

-

Aaron Rodgers ducked and ran before the Chicago Bears were able to complete their rebuild, robbing them of a chance to finally get even after years of torture. Now it falls to Jordan Love to carry on the tradition of Green Bay Packers quarterbacks ruling the rivalry. He even took his first minor dig at Bears fans. Love is attending a football camp in France alongside Justin Fields and DeShaun Watson. One fan hoped to get a picture with Fields, but he wasn’t available at the moment. So he took a chance to get one with Love.

The Packers QB even filmed a small video message that didn’t take long to go viral.

It’s hardly the “I still own you” comment Rodgers made a couple of years ago, but it certainly implies that Bears fans have a new daddy in town—a bold statement from somebody who has only started one game in his NFL career. It didn’t take long for somebody from Chicago to say something. Safety Jaquan Brisker was ready with a reply of his own. Per usual, it brimmed with confidence and intensity.

The Bears want to start the Jordan Love era off right.

The first meetings between a new Packers quarterback and Chicago have often been a foreshadowing of things to come. Rodgers beat them 37-3 in his first start against the Bears in 2008. Bart Starr beat them 21-17. This is not a road the team wants to go down again. That is why the war of words has already started. Justin Jones blasted Packers fans for being “obnoxious” and “really shitty.” They certainly had plenty to say in return. Jaire Alexander has never been shy about trashing the Bears at every opportunity.

This could be one of the most intense matchups between the two teams in a long time. The Bears have added a long of youth to their roster, along with some capable veterans. It’s a great mix of leaders, athleticism, and speed. Not to mention a healthy dose of violence. Jordan Love may still have the better supporting cast, but he inherits a team that has appeared on the downturn since 2021. This feels like a golden opportunity for the Bears to make a statement. Expect them to seize it.

The Bears need to dominate Love from the first game—put their feet on his throat and never let him up. Make him question his decision to play quarterback in the NFL—
