The Brooklyn Nets put together what seemed to be an unstoppable trio with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden in early 2021. Two years later, the Nets have lost all hope of winning a championship and have already started rebuilding their team from the ground up. Last year, James Harden was traded to the Philadelphia Sixers, and almost one year later, the Nets dealt Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks. It’s easy to imagine Kevin Durant requesting a trade from Brooklyn, especially since he already asked for one in the summer of 2022.
Many speculate about Kevin Durant’s availability ahead of the trade deadline as the Brooklyn empire crumbles. If that is true, the Chicago Bulls should at least give the Nets’ front office a call to offer their ‘godfather’ package for Durant.
Kevin Durant Mock Trade To Chicago
Bulls Trade: Zach LaVine, Patrick Williams, Nikola Vucevic, 2027 first-round unprotected, 2029 first-round unprotected
Nets Trade: Kevin Durant and Joe Harris
The Bulls have the best package to offer Kevin Durant over any other team in the NBA. A healthy mix of valuable trade assets and young star talent could warm the Nets’ ownership to finally pull the trigger and move past the big three’s gloomy era.
The Bulls would be left with DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, and Kevin Durant as their ‘big three’ while Lonzo Ball continues rehab. Durant is arguably the best player in the NBA, but pairing him next to the best midrange player in the NBA, DeMar DeRozan, could be a dynamic duo in the east. At the very least, the Bulls would move up a tier from a potential play-in tournament team to an actual playoff threat in the east. One thing is for sure, if the Bulls decide to stand pat at the deadline, their championship window will slam shut before their eyes.
Please consider alternative hobbies/employment. Terrible basketball analysis that wasted my time even as a loyal Bulls fan…. CLICKBAIT
This is terrible take. I hate to one of those guys but every article you put our are some of the worst takes. Clearly you do it for clickbait and the comments. You got me this time but never again. ✌🏿
This just doesn’t sound kosher. The Nets big-3 were infinitely more talented than the Bulls big-3. What sense would it make to trade for parts of their trash they’ve been unable to suckered someone else to bite on. They had the entirety of the off-season to unload this prima-donna and couldn’t get a nibble. Why would we want a $50M over-rated man-child when we’ve already got a $40M one. Plus the NBA where players always seem to end up playing where they want, why for any reason would he choose the Bulls as his landing spot?
No thank you. That would be doubling down on bad decisions.
Kd and kyrie both cancer DO NOT!
