Ayo Dosunmu has taken on a more significant role in his second season with the Chicago Bulls. Last year he was an overachieving second-round pick, but this year the narrative has changed since he became the Bulls’ primary starting point guard. Although Dosunmu has struggled from the three-point line shooting 31% for the season, he is still one of the Bulls’ most vital trade assets. Since he was drafted in the second round, he is also due for an extension this summer.
Ayo Dosunmu Mock Trade To The Pistons
Bulls Trade: Ayo Dosunmu & Dalen Terry
Pistons Trade: Killian Hayes
Killian Hayes has been a disappointment since the Pistons drafted him with the seventh overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft. They doubled down on their disappointment after drafting Jaden Ivey and Cade Cunningham for their backcourt. Hayes is only 21 years old and could potentially grow into the player many envisioned him coming out of France. The Pistons can take on Ayo Dosunmu, who has put up similar numbers to Hayes in his second season, and take on Dalen Terry as a sweetener. The Bulls do not know what they have in Terry just yet, but if Arturas Karnisovas liked Hayes in the 2020 draft, the Bulls might take a swing at him.
Ayo Dosunmu Mock Trade To The Hornets
Bulls Trade: Lonzo Ball and Ayo Dosunmu
Hornets Trade: Terry Rozier
Scary Terry has been in the rumor mill for a while, mainly since LaMelo Ball emerged as a star player. There is an argument for pairing up Lonzo Ball and LaMelo Ball for marketing reasons, but there’s a stronger argument their games complement each other. While they both play an uptempo unselfish style, Lonzo Ball’s backcourt defense and LaMelo Ball’s willingness to take over the game with his scoring could be a dangerous combination. The Bulls could take one last run at the Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan era by throwing in Terry Rozier in hopes of building the best starting lineup in the east.
No do not trade Ayo. It’s another thought that not many teams will be interested in taking a chance on Lonzo Ball.
