VIDEO: This Richard Sherman Comment On Mitch Trubisky Is Brutal

-

Mitch Trubisky is trying to make a second go of it as a starting quarterback in the NFL. This time his opportunity came with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thus far, it hasn’t gone too well. He completed less than 60% of his passes with a 76.1 passer rating through two games. Fans have already begun calling for 1st round pick Kenny Pickett to take over. Many felt the Thursday Night Football matchup with Cleveland might be Trubisky’s last stand. Some felt he played well in the first half. Richard Sherman wasn’t one of them.

The former All-Pro cornerback has played with and against some of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. So his standard is high. Throw in the fact he’s notorious for being highly outspoken, and it was the perfect recipe for him to say something. While his broadcast colleague praised Trubisky for staking Pittsburgh to a 14-13 lead after the 2nd quarter, Sherman was quick to point out how low they were setting the bar with him.

Richard Sherman is in his usual form.

Many people didn’t care for his game analysis, finding him rather boring. However, nobody can ever say the man’s afraid to spit the stinging barbs. His trash-talking during his Seattle Seahawks days was legendary. That was especially true when it came to quarterbacks. Tom Brady, Colin Kaepernick, and even his own teammate Russell Wilson felt his watch. Trubisky never had a chance. It is unfortunate he has to get sniped like that on a night when he’s fighting for his football life.

Then again, nobody should be surprised. That comment was undoubtedly one of the reasons Amazon hired Richard Sherman for the position. The best way to draw viewers aside from the action on the field is with personalities in the booth. Nobody can deny Sherman is a huge personality. He is doing what he was hired to do, even if the higher-ups would never admit as much.

Your narrative of Mitchell Trubisky’s “inadequacies” in both Chicago and now, Pittsburgh reveal your ignorance of football, in general; and of the QB and WR positions, in particular.
Fans in Chicago already know that your sole talent lies in sucking up: formerly to HC Matt Nagy; and now, to GM Ryan Poles.
But remind us again. We’re you the “journalist” that asked Nagy the most insightful question of his last year: “So Matt, are you wearing the ball cap, or the visor, on Sunday?”
That Lambert, was your finest moment!

Sherman is a moron and the techs who set up the halftime stage are idiots. You couldn’t hear anything this C or D grade panel said (which is probably a good thing anyway) because their handheld mikes were picking up the mascot game in the background instead of the talking heads.
As for Trubisky, I saw a lot of dropped passes in key situations and a ton of sneaky pass interference that wasn’t called. His OC is suspect as well.

He said "oh he does have over 100? Pop the champagne".

I watched the clip 5 times and I have no idea what Sherman said.

Sherman made his comments without even knowing the stats. If Amazon thinks hiring an asshat to comment on a game he didn’t bother to watch is a good idea, it’s no wonder its dropped a third of its value over the past year.
