Matt Nagy’s Home Is For Sale And Gaudier Than You Can Imagine

-

Matt Nagy is gone from Chicago. He is on his way to rejoin the Kansas City Chiefs as their new quarterbacks coach. The only business left for the former Bears head coach is to sell his home. When thinking about the man himself and where he came from, one would think he’d have a good-sized house but nothing too over the top. It seems people didn’t give him enough credit for how extravagant the man thinks.

His home in Lake Bluff is said to be worth $6 million. It was just listed on sale, complete with outdoor and indoor pictures. The exterior shots are gorgeous. Admittedly it looks like a beautiful property. Where it starts to get a little ridiculous is upon entry. It begins with a full bar complete with widescreen television and four chair stools. Framed jerseys can be seen in the background.

Every man dreams of having his own man cave and Matt Nagy is no different. His is absolutely cavernous with a pool table, pinball machine, and another television. The best part has to be his entire wall of call sheets.

Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.

Not sensing the ego yet?

Nagy also installed actual honest-to-god lockers to a personal basketball court entryway. Complete with Bears colors, of course.

The court itself is sheer perfection. Walls padded all the way around, just like at your local rec center, only with a Bears logo plastered dead center. The best part has to be the gigantic “N” on the free throw line. A reminder to who owns that floor.

Last but certainly not least is the bathroom. Lovely sink, toilet, and mirror with a walk-in shower. Nothing out of the ordinary until you notice the background.

Say this for Nagy. When he goes in, he goes in with both feet. He was fully committed to the belief that he would be the Bears head coach for a long time. Nobody decorates their house like that without long-term plans. After winning Coach of the Year in 2018, it is difficult to argue his confidence. It is amazing to think about how fast things fell apart for him. Here is hoping Matt Eberflus doesn’t fall into the same trap.
