Fan Puts $100,000 On Bears To Beat Packers

-

CHICAGO — Does this fan know something we don’t? I mean, wow.

According to BetMGM, this person thinks Mitch Trubisky and the Bears’ offense is going to turn the corner at Lambeau Field Sunday night, against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Does this bet stand a chance?

All things considered, this offense should show improvements with Trubisky at the helm. Trubisky will give the offense a chance to run the ball more effectively, given his own ability to run.

The Bears are going to need more than Trubsiky’s wheels tonight. They are going to his right arm, the offensive line, and especially Robert Quinn. A key to beating Green Bay is putting Rodgers on the ground, and with Akiem Hicks out all eyes move to Quinn and Khalil Mack.

Where is Robert Quinn?

So far in 2020, Quinn has one sack. The man he replaced, Leonard Floyd, has seven sacks for the Rams. Quinn described his play as “average” earlier this week, but many fans would disagree.

Again, Hicks is out. When he was out with an injury in 2019, Mack and the rest of the pass rush struggled immensely. Hicks is the engine to this team, but it will be up to other guys to step up and take on the role. Look for big nights from Bilal Nichols and Roquan Smith. Smith is quick enough to blitz on third downs. If the Bears don’t blitz, don’t expect them to win.

On the other side of the ball, the Green Bay offense is putting up over 30 points per game, behind MVP frontrunner Aaron Rodgers. The tandem of Packers’ Head Coach Matt LaFleur and Rodgers is proving to be a successful marriage. Add Aaron Jones and Davante Adams into that mix and you’re going to get the results.

Can the Bears stop Aaron Rodgers?

The Bears can never seem to stop #12. He’s the best player on the field week-in and week-out, but this Bears defense is going to be a tough out.

The Packers’ offense loves to start fast. They have scored on 9/10 opening drives to begin the year. To add on top of that, the Packers have unlocked the TE position with the emergence of Robert Tonyan. Tonyan comes into tonight’s game with six touchdowns, something their organization has been searching for since Jermichael Finley.

Davante Adams is also having his best season-to-date. In the games he’s been healthy, chances are he’s found the end zone. Adams called himself the best receiver in the league a few weeks ago and has continued to back it up.

Again, it all comes down to putting pressure on Rodgers. In Packers’ losses this season, Rodgers has been put on the ground more than once. If the Bears cannot get to him, it will be difficult due to the skill level of the Packers’ O-Line, this game will be all Packers.

As far as that fan goes, we wish him the best of luck. The Packers have won the last 17/20 games against the Bears, and the way things have gone this year there is no reason to see an end to that trend.
